Rope Stitched Fishtail Braid Hairstyle

A fishtail braid... with a twist!

This "rope stitched fishtail braid" doesn't take up much more time to create than a regular fishtail, but adds something special and unique to the standard braid that everyone else is wearing.  ;)  Fishtail braids are probably our favorite type of braid right now. Very trendy, popular, and stylish!   

We love the subtle twist running through the center of this braid, but, if you are wanting something more noticeable, you might try adding colorful ribbon or fabric instead of the rope braid for a more dramatic effect.

The princess has been obsessed with side braids lately and this is a great one to quickly whip out for school mornings.  This same concept could also be used to create a "rope stitched French fishtail braid" if you desire.

Supplies Needed:

• 2 small hair elastics
• comb or brush
• finishing hairspray or gel (optional)
