This criss cross woven ponytail hairstyle is inspired by a photo we saw on Instagram by "vlechtjesezo." The original style featured single banded crosses down the length of the ponytail. We thought it was such a super cute and creative style! We decided to try our own take on it by adding 2 strand crosses, with woven twists. We love how intricate looking the pattern turned out, although it was still fairly quick, easy, and fun to create.
This hairstyle would be great for many occasions: school, work, the beach, recitals, communions, dances, sports, church, etc.

You can add as many woven sections as you would like to your ponytail (depending on the length of hair you are working with.) I think just one section would be cute as an accent at the top of your ponytail, or you can go to the very ends of her hair. As you can see, we went down about 3/4 the length of her ponytail with our twists.
Supplies needed to recreate this hairstyle:
- 1 medium size hair tie for the top of the ponytail.
- Several small hair elastics (the amount will depend on how many sections you decide to twist and weave.)
- Gel, pomade, hair spray, or other product to help control flyaways.
This style will work best with long hair, medium hair, straight hair, wavy hair, or curly hair.
