I didn't do step by step pics. I think it's pretty self explanatory. Just leave out a box on top when you make the piggies. Split the box into 2 sections diagonally, then do a french twist braid in each section and add to the pigtails. If you don't know how to do a french twist braid, click here for a instructional video:
French twist braid videoTo make the buns: Do a
twist braid (another video) in each pigtail and wrap up into a bun, leaving the ends out on top to curl.
Btw, these pictures were taken on her 6th birthday, right before she got her ears pierced! Here she is after the big event with her beautiful new earrings......
So CUTE! Can't wait to give it a try! Thanks for the inspiration and ideas...
ReplyDeleteI can NOT get the twists to stay put, no matter what!
ReplyDeleteDo you have any hints on how to keep them in place with the elastics?
I need some hints and advice!
Thanks!! :)

Because your amazingly brilliant, I gave you an award on my blog!♥
CaryManda,
ReplyDeleteHmm, I don't know why your braids aren't staying twisted. I think the trick to keeping them together is how you twist them 2 different ways. Make sure you twist both individual strands in the same direction first before you twist them together in the opposite direction. I don't know if this is making sense, did you watch the twist braid video? Good luck!
This is so cute!! Sometimes I wish my girls were still young and I could do things like this. You are so talented!
ReplyDeleteI love the french twist piggies!! I am definitely going to try it on my little girl. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteShe has the prettiest hair in the world I swear. I wish you could do my daughters hair.
ReplyDeleteLove and Prayers,
Tim
Lovely Little Lady! Happy birthday!
