I've had quite a few people email me asking if I had a trick for applying sunscreen to parts. The Princess has very fair/white skin that gets sunburned very easily. So, sunscreen is a MUST around here. Well, we've tried lots of things. But, this is what seems to work the best for us with the least greasy looking result. I just squirt some sunscreen in my hand, dab a little on a Q-tip and go to town. Nothing too exciting, but hey it works!!

You ought to do a home deep conditioning treatment to take care of that dry hair. Get very good conditioner (salon), smother it in her hair. Make two towels as hot as she can stand it in the dryer. Put one on her head. When it cools, replace with the other one.
ReplyDeleteWait! Forget the sunscreen, post the hairdo from the picture!
ReplyDeleteI have a little blondie with fair skin so we use a lot of sunscreen. I love to use the Coppertone clear spray in the aerosal can. It goes on like hairspray and works great. It doesn't make the hair really greasy like some sunscreen. I would also love to see the hairdo. It looks cute from the top. :)

ReplyDeleteThanks for the Q-"tip", one of my little gals is always getting her part burned!
ReplyDeleteI also want to ask... Can you post the hairdo from the picture. It looks like a really cute one! Love your blog and your creativeness!
ReplyDeleteI agree - I can't wait to see the hairdo!
ReplyDeleteGood tip! We usually use spray sunscreen but I'd rather put the sunscreen on JUST the skin rather than all over.
I wish we knew more about sunscreen when I was little. My part burned and peeled several times - OW!
Of course! I'll post this hairstyle for you. :) You'll have to be patient with me though. My card is full right now so I need to clean it off first.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tips and I agree can you post the hairdo?
ReplyDeleteI like to do my little sister's hair, but sometimes (ALOT) she doesn't like me to!
ReplyDeleteyes, i think we all want to see that hairdo. another thing is to use a spray leave-in conditioner. it really helped me in texas.
ReplyDeleteI really want to see how you did the hair do in this post. It looks way cute...
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Thanks for the info- I always spray the girls hair with the spray stuff and then it does look all greasy!
ReplyDeleteI know this is a late comment but I use neutrogena spray sunscreen. It is way less greasy and I only spray the part. It's kind of pricy but it goes a long way. I use it on my own part too.
