We posted a Belle Hairstyle for long hair a couple of years ago with our Halloween Hairstyles. Well, our Princess asked for this Beauty and the Beast Hairstyle just recently, and her hair isn't quite long enough for our original version. So, we modified it a little. Here's a video tutorial showing how to create a Belle Hairdo for shorter hair....
I love how this Belle hair style turned out! I think I like it even better with her shorter hair cut.
Btw, if you are looking for a wand to go with your princess or fairy halloween costume, my friend Trisha has DIY instructions on how to make a fairy wand and how to make a tulle wand on her site. So adorable!

Love this one!
ReplyDeleteI was reading your blog today and watching your tutorial video on the Belle hairdo when my 4 yr old daughter walked in and said, "mom I want that hair too!" She watched with me and then immediately ran for the bathroom and brought me all the things I needed for it. It was so cute. Needless to say we have a little Belle running around the house today.
ReplyDeleteI like that the style while Pricessy, keeps the hair out of kid's faces.
ReplyDeleteQuestion for you. How do you remove the elastics from your daughter's hair without ripping out the hair or making her scream in the process? The biggest problem I have with doing my daughter's hair is her flipping out each time I put in an elastic but it's worse when I take it out. Any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteAdorable! I think my girls are going to love this one!
ReplyDeleteAdorable, I wish my girl would be a princess all she ever wants to be is a witch ! I have no idea what to do with her hair for a witch besides leave it down and messy !
ReplyDeleteI love this hairstyle! so creative!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to be an 80's diva for Halloween, sort of like Madonna, do you have any ideas for hairstyles? My hair is thick and slightly wavy, and I've found that it's hard to get it to stay in a high pony without the bottom coming loose! I'd love to hear any ideas you have. :)
A Hair style which matches your personality increases your beauty .there are many products in market for hair extension which provide perfect shape of your look and style.Fashion industry is based on new style and if you have advanced style that will become popular in a short period of time.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the video and the inspiration. I tried this hairstyle on my daughter today when we went to see the musical, Beauty and the Beast. I loved that I didn't have to use any pokey bobby pins on her and it stayed in for the whole day, including playing in the backyard afterwards. I would've never thought of using the bracelet and the nylons, genius!

ReplyDeleteI just wanted to let you know that 2+ years later and this hairdo is STILL amazing! ;) We took my 6yo to Disney World last weekend in her Belle dress and this hairstyle (we even sprayed a little glitter on). People commented on it all day and kept asking how much we had PAID at the Bibbity-Bobbity-Boutique to have it done!! People were just amazed that we had done it ourselves, and said it looked even BETTER than the ones done at the boutique! Our little princess felt sooo special! Thanks!!
