Double Braided Headband

(Milkmaid Braids or a Crown Braid Cheat!)

This folded braid or double braided headband is a fun twist to a regular dutch lace braid headband hairstyle. The single braid folded in half gives the illusion of 2 braids (a cheat for making milkmade braids or a crown braid look without all of the braiding that is usually required.) If you know how to dutch braid or french braid, this cute hairstyle is actually quite easy and quick.

We are liking sort of messy, stretched out, and deconstructed braids lately. If you prefer a cleaner look, you could use hair product or damp hair before you start braiding to keep things neater.  Or really make things messy and loose for bohemian flair.  It is up to you!  A messy bun, pigtails, ponytail or other style in the back could be added if you don't like leaving your hair down. This is the fun thing about hair.....  You can really do so many variations on a hairstyle to make it your own.

You will need fairly long hair to complete this style. If your hair isn't quite long enough to fold back over your head (as shown in the video below) you could try making 2 braids (one starting at each ear) and pin them together for basically the same look.  

I think this could be a cute flower girl hairstyle or other special occasion hairdo. We even thought about adding some tiny flowers throughout the braid for a fun summer look!
