A cute and easy elastic ponytail!
Hey guys! Our hair tutorial this week is the "reverse pull-through braid." This is a variation of the standard "pull-through braid" which has been a popular and trendy braiding / ponytail technique floating around on Pinterest, YouTube, and Instagram recently. If you have not seen the original braid, linked below are a few video tutorials to check out from some of our friends and fellow hair vloggers (which show how to make the original braid as a ponytail and as a French braid.)

For comparison purposes, the pictures below show the reverse braid on the left, and the original braid on the right. As you can see, the braids look quite different from one another, even though they are made in a very similar way.
As mentioned in our video tutorial below, you can wear this braid "as is".....
Or you can stretch the sides of the braid out for a larger and more voluminous ponytail....
This is a quick and easy ponytail hairstyle which should stay in place very well for school, sports, work, etc.
Supplies Needed:
- Several hair elastics (the amount will depend on the length of your hair.) The elastics we used in our video below are the smallest size made by "Goody Ouchless."
- Pomade, gel, hairspray or water to help control flyaways (optional.)

ReplyDeleteThanks for taking the time to make the tutorial and post it. I can't wait to try it tomorrow on my daughter. Looks like a quick easy braid. It will be nice to have another option for our daily braid(s).
ReplyDeleteHey! I love your hairstyles, but I was wondering if you could show us more teen styles?? Your hairstyles are nice, for little kids. Please don't be offended by this at all!! They are more of ya know............I just wouldn't want that on my head. Plz answer.....
ReplyDeleteIf possible could it be a style for med. 2 layer hair.
